3rd ICIAP 2016

Architecture & Planning Department of Gadjah Mada University has just held its 3rd biennale; International Conference in Architecture and Planning/ICIAP 2016.

The event held in August 11-12th, 2016 and with “Inclusive Space, Enriching Culture” as its theme. ICIAP invited 8 speakers from overseas and 2 speakers from Indonesia. They are Prof Dr. Deguchi Atsushi (University of Tokyo), Assoc. Prof. Robert Cowherd, Ph.D (Wenworth University of Technology), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shahed Khan (Curtin University), Prof. Bakti Setiawan (UGM), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Masayuki Ichinose (Tokyo Metropolitan University), Dr. Ulrike Herbig (TU Wien), Ir. Eko Agus Prawoto, M. Arch, IAI (UKDW), Prof. Dr. Yoshiharu Tsukamoto, (Tokyo Institute of Technology), Dr. Hélène Njoto (Yusof-Ishak Institute), Mr. Debashish Nayak (Ahmedabad University).

Besides those ten invited speakers, there are also 53 speakers from Indonesia and overseas that shared their researches.

The event goes on 3 Plenary Sessions (main conference) and 3 Parallel Sessions, then it is wrapped by a field trip to some renowned places in Yogyakarta such as Code, Ketandan, Malioboro, Beringharjo Market, Masjid Gedhe Kauman, Ngasem Market, Taman Sari, and Alun-Alun.
